The 25,000-square-foot (1,850 square meters) Oriental Spa occupies the hotel's fifth and sixth floors. In addition to 15 treatment rooms, the spa has a 700-square-foot (65 square meters) couple's suite with its own vitality pool and heated amethyst crystal steam shower. The spa experience begins with a journey through the heat and water facilities, designed to relax the body and mind in preparation for spa treatment. Spa guests are invited to lounge in the calming relaxation room, meditate in the amethyst crystal steam room, or release tension and soothe aching muscles in the vitality pool with underwater hydro-massage beds, dry sauna, laconium, experience showers, and tepidarium chairs.
The Oriental Spas are well known for their signature Time Rituals, which allow spa-goers to book a block of time during which to enjoy a combination of customized spa therapies rather than selecting specific services from the menu. Another signature offering, the 110-minute Oriental Harmony treatment involves two therapists who use skin-pampering Mandarin Oriental products to relax and rejuvenate guests through body scrub, touch therapy, and a concluding simultaneous hand and foot massage.
The Mandarin Oriental Signature Spa Therapies, developed in consultation with traditional Chinese medicine specialists and aromatherapists, begin with a private therapist consultation, followed by a customized body ritual that combines Oriental meridian massage techniques with the spa's exclusive essential oils. Guests are also provided with nutritional and exercise guidance.
The spa's fitness center, which is fully equipped with cardio and weight-training machines, offers personal training and assessments, as well as an 18-meter heated indoor swimming pool in a stylish bright and airy setting. Holistic exercise services include more than 40 yoga classes held each week as well as private and group Pilates classes using Reformer and Gyrotonic equipment. Guests can relax in the tranquil setting of the Poolside and juice bar before and after treatments.
